My little bug is now a little over 7 months! I seriously can’t believe how fast he is growing! Of course, like most parents, I’m just like, “Where has the time gone?!!” Seemed like I gave birth just last week!
Within the past month or so Samuel has gotten his first bottom teeth! He is now eating solids and some finger foods for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Samuel is also vocalizing a lot more and is going to town with the zerberts, ha!
You are probably looking at these pictures and wondering why Samuels wearing a helmet. Samuel has plagiocephaly which is basically flathead. It’s actually pretty common. Samuel has slight torticollis in his neck which causes him to sleep on his left side. It’s like stiff neck in babies and can be caused by a number of things while they are inutero. So, because Samuel is sleeping mostly on one side, that side got flat. He is getting physical therapy for his torticollis and has the helmet to fix the plagiocephaly.
My hubby wants to put Chargers stickers on it. Lets just say he will be all set for football season.
Another thing I have noticed with baby Samuel is that he is very social! He loves being around other people/babies and usually isn’t fussy. I have signed him up for a few sign classes coming up. I have heard great things about them from other mamas and also his pediatrician recommended it. Samuel will eventually be able to communicate his needs to me before he can really talk. Looking forward to that!
All in all, Samuel is progressing like he should. We are working on him sitting up more, which he is getting better at. Oh, he is also VERY MUCH aware of our dog Teddy, and uh, likes to pull his tail, so I have to be very careful of that! Teddy can pretty much hold his own though, for a small Pomeranian. So, that is pretty much the latest news on my little guy. Stay tuned for more news on Samuels growth!
